Day 9

Every PLA plate printed

Eighteen plates and about 39 hours of printing later, every PLA part of the duck exists, and face plate v1 is in with its screen and camera. Only the TPU soles and beak edges are left, and the servos are still on their way.

Every plate in the print file is done apart from the two TPU ones: the foot soles (T1) and the beak edges (T2). That's 18 plates, about 39 hours of printing and about 389 g of filament, not counting the attempts that went in the bin. The bench stand is printed too.

Face plate v1 came off the printer front-down, with the camera recess on the centreline and the wider screen pocket, and everything went in: screen, clamp, camera and XIAO.

The progress duck is nearly all colour now. The grey that's left is the TPU, and the servos, which are still on pre-order.
